STEWART, Justice.

Sam Thomas entered upon his duties as sheriff of McCreary county on the first Monday in January, 1942, and served as such for a period of four years thereafter. He executed his county revenue bond on May 29, 1944, in the penal sum of $69,000, with the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company as surety thereon, for the collection of the 1944 county levy.
