J. R. Godfrey, an employee of the plaintiff, was injured on December 18, 1950, while repairing a dry dock, the property of the plaintiff. Shortly after the injury, the plaintiff began making payments to Godfrey, pursuant to the terms of the Workmen's Compensation Act of Alabama, in the amount of $21 a week.
