Appellant, John Acrey, and Willie Crabtree, Lester Gregory, Ray Burgess, and Maurice Fairchild were jointly indicted, charged with the murder of Woodrow Cooper. Separate trials were had. Appellant was found guilty of manslaughter and his punishment fixed at 17 years in prison. He appeals, assigning as errors: (1) The court erred in overruling appellant's demurrer to the indictment; (2) the court erred in admitting incompetent evidence which was prejudicial...
