James Pennington was convicted in the police court of the City of Ashland on Feb. 27, 1950, of the offense of having in his possession intoxicating liquor in local option territory for the purpose of sale, and his punishment was fixed at a fine of $100 and 30 days in jail. He appealed to the Boyd Circuit Court and at the April Term thereof his case was continued until the June Term, 1950.
