These are eight actions of contract in which the plaintiffs seek to recover on separate policies of fire insurance in Massachusetts standard form. Seven of these policies covered personal property, and one, issued by the Granite State Fire Insurance Company of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, hereinafter called the Granite company, covered the building which contained the personal property.
