This is an action under the Suits in Admiralty Act, 46 U.S.C.A. § 741 et seq. The libellant is the administrator of a seaman who was killed when a vessel belonging to and operated by the United States struck a mine in an Italian port on October 15, 1944. The libel charges negligence in the navigation of the vessel, in failing to provide an adequate lookout, in failing to maintain adequate degaussing, life saving equipment and warning...
