The appellant was convicted in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia of perjury as a witness before the Committee on Education and Labor of the House of Representatives. He appealed to this court and his conviction was affirmed. Christoffel v. United States, 84 U. S.App.D.C. 132, 171 F.2d 1004 (1948).
