Curtis Barnes and William E. Thornton, hereinafter referred to as defendants, were indicted and tried under an indictment which charged them with the larceny of "certain cable" of the value of $392 of the goods and chattels of the Welding Shipyard, Inc. Upon arraignment they pleaded not guilty and agreed to be tried jointly. There were two trials. Upon the first trial the jury were unable to reach a verdict. Upon the second trial the jury found...
