This matter comes before the court on defendant's motion for a judgment non obstante veredicto. The jury brought in a verdict for Er Baily in the sum of $250, and for Anna Baily, his wife, in the sum of $500.

The facts of this case are that on June 30, 1948, at 11 a.m., plaintiff, Anna Baily, with her son and daughter-in-law and a neighbor, went into an American self-service provision store in Williamstown, N.J., to do some shopping...
