In this action to foreclose a mortgage on real property the defendant-respondent Cohen, as mortgagor, was personally served with a summons and the amended complaint but failed to appear or answer. In due course a judgment of foreclosure and sale was entered which contained the usual directives and included the provision that, in the event proceeds of the sale of the mortgaged property were insufficient...
