This is an action for damages for injuries suffered by plaintiff falling off of a horse. Plaintiff at the time of her injury was the owner and operator of a beauty parlor in the city of Grand Rapids. Defendants are the owners and operators of a dude ranch near Hesperia, Michigan. The dude ranch offered several recreational facilities including swimming, horseback riding and shuffleboard.

On July 6, 1947, plaintiff became a paying guest at the ranch...
