Mary J. Powledge brought this action against the United States, alleging she was named beneficiary (as one in loco parentis) in a National Service Life Insurance policy upon the life of Henry G. Beasley, a deceased soldier. In their answers both the United States and the wife of assured (a third party defendant) contend that plaintiff's relationship as one standing in the place of a parent to the assured, did not begin until assured was twenty...
