Ferdinand Paquin of Mackinaw City died on January 13, 1949, leaving an instrument purporting to be his last will and testament. It was dated July 10, 1944, 3 weeks prior to his eighty-eighth birthday. It contained a bequest of $500 to the Altar Society of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Mackinaw City, Michigan.
