This suit was brought against Maud M. Hexter, who operated a restaurant known as the Fairfax Tea Room, and Sidney and Jane Studt, who owned the building in which the restaurant was located. The plaintiff sued for damages arising out of personal injuries that she sustained when she fell down a stairway in the building. She charged joint negligence of all of the defendants and the trial resulted in a verdict for five thousand dollars against Sidney...
