This case comes to us upon a clerk's transcript. The defendant pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with the crime of manslaughter. Upon trial to a jury he was found guilty as charged and the court entered judgment thereon that defendant be committed to the State Penitentiary for Men at Ft. Madison, Iowa, to be there imprisoned for a period not to exceed eight years as provided by section 690.10 of the Code of Iowa, I.C.A. Defendant has appealed...
