Plaintiff, an employee of the defendant company, received an award of compensation for a personal injury claimed to have arisen out of and in the course of his employment, and for doctors' and hospital charges. Defendant has appealed.

Prior to the hearing of this case by the commissioner in September, 1948, plaintiff had been in defendant's employ for approximately 18 years. His testimony as to the character of his work is as follows:
