PER CURIAM.

This appeal comes before us on a clerk's transcript. The defendant pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with uttering and publishing as true a forged instrument in writing, commonly known as a bank check. Upon trial to a jury, he was found guilty as charged, and the court rendered and entered judgment upon said verdict of the jury, and sentenced and committed defendant to the State Penitentiary at Fort Madison, Iowa, to be there imprisoned...
