These two actions resulted from an automobile accident which occurred at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Third Street West, in the City of Huntington, W. Va., on August 3, 1949. The car in which plaintiffs were riding was struck from behind while it remained stopped at the intersection in obedience to an electric traffic signal.
