At the September 1950 primary election, James M. Youngdale, hereinafter referred to as the contestant, and Carl J. Eastvold, hereinafter referred to as the contestee, were both candidates on the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party ticket for nomination for representative in congress for the seventh congressional district. The state canvassing board found that contestant received 5,886 votes and contestee 5,938 votes. Accordingly, it issued its certificate...
