This cause is a consolidation of two suits filed by O. L. Christensen, one for common-law damages and the other for workmen's compensation, for the loss of his right eye.

His damage suit was filed Sept. 4, 1946, against Q. J. Aaberg and one Passmore. He alleged that on April 24, 1946, they were operating a machine shop in Alvin, where he was their employe engaged in the scope of his employment...
