According to the returns of the November, 1949, election, Arnold Burke, Republican, was elected a magistrate of Pike County over Ballard Tackett, Democrat, by a majority of 95 votes. Tackett filed a contest upon the usual grounds, and Burke responded with a similar counter-contest. A large record was built up, most of which is incompetent and irrelevant.
