This original mandamus proceeding was instituted by the State of West Virginia, at the relation of Dewain Harry Burford, to require David A. McKee, Special Judge of the Intermediate Court of Ohio County, and W. H. Havercamp, Clerk of that court, to accept sureties offered upon a bail bond by Dewain Harry Burford, the defendant in a criminal proceeding pending in that court.
