The defendant, Arthur Woolridge, was charged by an information filed in the district court of Oklahoma county with the crime of murder allegedly committed by shooting one Willie Stubbs on August 21, 1948; was tried, convicted of manslaughter in the first degree, and pursuant to the verdict of the jury was sentenced to serve 50 years in the State Penitentiary.
