Defendant was charged with the crime of violating section 192, subdivision 3(a) of the Penal Code (manslaughter) in that she killed three children in driving a vehicle with gross negligence. In a second count she was charged with violating section 501 of the Vehicle Code in driving a vehicle on a public highway while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
