The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant for breach of a contract by the terms of which he was to serve as its academic dean until June 30, 1948, at a salary of $5500 per year. He alleged that he was wrongfully discharged by the defendant on February 25, 1948, and has been paid no compensation since.
