BUCHANAN, Justice.

This litigation involves the ownership of an eight-foot alley on Main street, or U. S. Highway 29, in the town of Amherst, plus a strip about ten feet wide at right angles to the alley at its southern terminus. It was begun by the plaintiffs, the Ruckers, by filing a petition against the Gregorys, defendants, as co-terminus owners, to settle the boundary line between them. Code 1950, § 8-836.
