The present plaintiffs in cases 542 and 543, consolidated for trial, are substituted parties. Case 542 was initiated by Mississippi River Power Company. In May of 1945 this corporation was merged into Union Electric Company of Missouri, and this cause of action, with other property rights, assigned to the latter corporation.
