J.L. Blackburn is the owner of some 240 acres of timber land in Linn County, Oregon. On August 12, 1944, Blackburn entered into a written contract with C.C. Cameron to sell said timber to him. The agreed price was $6,250. Cameron was given the right, until November 1, 1947, to enter upon the land for the purpose of logging and removing the timber, with the stipulation that, on such date, all his rights in or to the timber should cease.
