The plaintiff in error, Thomas Woods, who will hereinafter be referred to as defendant, was charged in information in the district court of Pittsburg county with the crime of murder, was tried before a jury, convicted, and his punishment fixed at life imprisonment in the State Penitentiary, and judgment and sentence in accordance was duly entered.
