Although the machine in question was operated by a coin, and there was the element of chance or unpredictable outcome in that the user did not know whether he would receive a gum ball or a trinket ball (of which there were a lesser number than gum balls), there is no proof in this record that the user would in any event receive more than the equivalent in merchandise value in exchange for the coin inserted, or that a user would in any event receive anything of more value...
