This is an action in replevin. The petition was filed July 6th, 1948, in the Circuit Court of New Madrid County, Missouri.

Plaintiff seeks to recover possession of an automobile by virtue of a lien created by chattel mortgage securing a note assigned to plaintiff. The defense is that the chattel mortgage is void because the lien was not shown on the certificate of title to said car. The cause was tried before the court on an agreed statement...
