Plaintiff alleges that on the 17th day of January, 1949, he sold a 1947 Chevrolet convertible automobile to the defendant Hill, and for the purchase price, received a check from Hill in the amount of $1500. It appears that this check was not good and was given merely as evidence of indebtedness for the purchase price. It is also shown by the evidence that at the time, Muse was indebted unto Hill, a secondhand car dealer, as the result of a prior transaction...
