On April 5, 1948, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia awarded judgment for $4,774.20 to Rose Perel Jameson against her husband, R. D. Jameson. At her instance, writs of attachment were issued against Jameson's "goods, chattels and credits", and were served on his employer, the American National Red Cross, on Thursday, April 29, and Thursday, May 13.
