DEVIN, Justice.

The defendant was convicted of manslaughter in causing the death by drowning of one Dorothy Lynn Smith. From judgment imposing prison sentence the defendant appealed.

The question chiefly debated here was whether the evidence was sufficient to sustain the charge of involuntary manslaughter. The State's evidence tended to show that on September 1st, 1947, several women and children were bathing in West End pond which was shallow near the banks...
