On December 29, 1948, plaintiff, Better Bilt Door Co., by its attorneys, filed with the prothonotary a judgment note, signed by defendant, dated August 26, 1939, payable to the plaintiff on demand in the sum of $523.65. By its terms the defendant authorized any attorney of any court of record, after maturity of the note, to confess judgment, in favor of the holder "for such amount as may appear to be unpaid thereon".
