On the 19th of January, 1942, plaintiff brought suit against defendant Steele and another in the common pleas court for the city of Detroit. The declaration filed in the cause alleged that on June 23, 1941, defendant Steele was the owner of an automobile, that the vehicle was being driven by the other defendant with the express and implied consent and direction of the owner, and that it was driven over the curb and sidewalk in such manner as to strike plaintiff...
