This is an appeal from a judgment of the District Court entered on a jury verdict in a personal injury action.

On December 18, 1946, the appellees, husband and wife, were struck and injured in Collierville, Tennessee, by a truck owned by appellant, driven by a high school student, Carl Hart, to whom appellant's son, Bryan Coop, had loaned the truck. The appellees, when struck, were preparing to enter their automobile parked in the center...
