Plaintiff filed its complaint in assumpsit alleging that on July 23, 1946, defendant shipped by the Boston & Albany Railroad six shipments of steel bars from Springfield, Mass., to Raymond Concrete Pile Company, Pier 2, North River, N.Y., said shipment amounting to a net weight of 773,900 pounds; that the Interstate Commerce Commission rate at the time was 26 cents per 100 pounds and that defendant prepaid the shipment at the rate...
