OPINION BY MR. JUSTICE HORACE STERN, November 14, 1949:

This case, as argued, calls for an interpretation of the phrase "assured clear distance ahead" as contained in the statutory mandate that no person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway at a greater speed than will permit him to bring it to a stop within such distance.
