October 15, 1948, the Town of Baldwin held an election to determine whether or not it should issue bonds in the amount of $75,000 for the construction of a municipal water supply and distribution system. When the election returns were canvassed it was determined that a majority of the qualified elector freeholders participated and that a majority of those participating voted in favor of the bonds.
