This is a divorce action in which the only question raised on appeal is the adequacy of the permanent alimony allowed by the trial court.

Plaintiff and defendant were married on December 28, 1946. A son was born to this union on August 20, 1947. Marital difficulties developed which resulted in a divorce being granted to the plaintiff on March 13, 1948, on the ground of extreme cruelty.
