The appellant, Burt E. Haigler, appeals from a conviction and sentence for wilfully, knowingly and unlawfully attempting to defeat and evade his income tax liability for the calendar year 1941, by filing or causing to be filed a false and fraudulent return in violation of Section 145(b) of the Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C.A. § 145(b). The principal, and we think decisive, question here is whether the trial court erroneously excluded...
