Claimant suffered an industrial accident on June 24, 1943, when he was struck on the left temple by a sledge hammer. Thereafter he developed a functional neurosis, the chief symptom of which was a staggering gait when he walked. The employer and carrier maintain that claimant is not suffering from a true neurosis and is in fact a malingerer.
