Appellee, the widow of an Air Corps officer who was killed in the European theater of the war on January 11, 1944, sought to reform, and to recover the proceeds of, a National Service Life Insurance policy issued to her husband on January 28, 1942, wherein the mother of the soldier — appellant here — was named beneficiary.
