The plaintiffs are bus and truck drivers and custodians employed by the defendant who operates buses and trucks in the transportation of passengers and baggage for railroads entering the city of Chicago. The defendant, an independent contractor, transports from depot to depot in Chicago under its contracts with the railroads the railroads' passengers and their baggage.
