This action was commenced on July 31, 1947, to recover damages for injuries to person and property under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C.A. § 921 et seq. This claim arose out of a collision at about 8:30 a. m. on August 2, 1946, at a junction of State highways 6 and 43, near and north of the city limits of Lexington, South Carolina, between a 1942 Ford Coach owned and operated by the plaintiff, and a 1942 Army Chevrolet Coach owned...
