A group of about 150 people attempted to stage a mass picketing demonstration in front of the Harvard Club on March 30, 1948, at about 4:15 P.M. The employees of the club were on strike. The defendant, who was a waitress and member of the union to which the strikers belonged, had been told to report for picket duty.
