The petitioner on July 6, 1931, was convicted of first degree murder in the Criminal Court of Cook County, Illinois, and sentenced to serve one hundred years in the penitentiary. In his petition for habeas corpus he alleges that the respondent restrains him, pursuant to a judgment of the Cook County Criminal Court based upon this conviction, in violation of the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment...
