These two suits are for overtime pay claimed by the plaintiff as an operator of floating equipment while employed by the Panama Canal in its Dredging Division. The first suit covers the period from August 15, 1940, to November 30, 1942, and the second the period from December 1, 1942, to June 30, 1945. The issue in the cases is whether, during the period covered by the two suits, the plaintiff continued to be entitled to be paid overtime at the rates...
