On and prior to May 29, 1945 the petitioner, Mid-Valley Distilling Corporation, a Pennsylvania corporation, held certain basic permits authorizing it to engage in the distilling, warehousing, rectifying, wholesaling and importing of liquors. On that day all of Mid-Valley's outstanding capital stock was acquired by Distillers Factors Corporation.
